When Reupholstery Makes Sense

When Repair Is Not Enough

Reupholstery is a good option when the surface is too worn, damaged, loose, or outdated to restore with repair alone. It can also be used to replace the material, change the color, or update details like piping and panel design.

torn or broken upholstery panels
heavily worn seating surfaces
loose or stretched covers
outdated color or material
sections that need full panel replacement
projects that need a more complete visual update

Choose the Right Leather or Vinyl

We bring leather and vinyl samples so you can see the color, texture, and finish in person. Once we review the project, we help choose the right material and order it specifically for your piece.

Depending on the project, you can bring the piece to us, we can pick it up, or part of the work can be done on-site while the upholstery is rebuilt in our shop and installed later.

FAQ

Reupholstery FAQ

Answers to common questions about leather and vinyl reupholstery.

Yes. In some cases, only the damaged panel, seat, or cushion needs to be reupholstered instead of the entire piece. This depends on how the piece is made and whether that section can be replaced separately.

If the damage is limited and the material is still in decent condition overall, repair may be enough. If the material is badly worn, stretched, torn in several areas, or you want a more complete update, reupholstery is usually the better option.

It depends on the project. Some pieces are completed in the shop, while others may involve partial on-site work with installation or finishing done later.

The timeline depends on the size of the project, the condition of the piece, and material availability. After reviewing the photos and the scope of work, we can give a more realistic timeframe.
